Argyria begins when the body's natural ability to eliminate waste is overwhelmed by an accumulation of silver deposits. Silver particles then end up on the tissue, especially on the epidermal layer, changing the skin tone to gray, slate gray, or bluish gray. Aside from this potential cosmetic problem, colloidal silver seems to have no known side effects. Argyria is not metallic poisoning as some believe. It is simply the manifestation of silver build-up.
Colloidal silver is safe as long as you regulate your dosage. Remember that colloidal silver has been extensively used as a means to render water potable for extended periods. So there are no toxic manifestations with colloidal silver.
Colloidal silver can be made in the home, as long as you take precautions to assure the material you are using is not an alloy, and that your finished product is potable.
